Moonflowers

Moonflowers only bloom at night and have a heavy, sweet smell as if the moonflowers were a field of blossoms instead of only one or two. If the smell is intoxicating to humans, what must it be like for bees?

Hello Tobias,

Check this Internet site. It has all you need to know about moonflowers.http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/893/

It appears they grow in colder places than Virginia where I live. They do not bloom here until late summer. So if I lived farther north, I would start them inside. The seeds are tough and have to be cracked to sprout the seeds. See comments on this site. Good luck, the flowers are worth the effort.
